Q.What reassurances can Equi Taxi offer?
A. Equi Taxi are DEFRA approved, our staff are British Horse Society Qualified and also hold the certificate of competence for transporting horses by road. The vehicle is a modern, professionally built Chaigley Duo Horsebox which is maintained regularly by Select Horseboxes.

Q.Where does Equi Taxi operate?
A. We cover journeys within the UK only and are based in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands.

Q.What documents do I need to enable my horse to travel?
A. You should have your horse's passport ready when we collect your horse as this is now an EU requirement when transporting horses. Unfortunately we are unable to provide transport for horses without a passport.

Q.Do you offer an emergency call out service?
A. Equi taxi operates an emergency call out service, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Q.How are the charges calculated?
A. A call out fee (dependent on location) is charged with an additional fee per mile travelled. We don’t charge a fee for any wait time under 30 minutes, however after this time we will levy our normal hourly wait fee of £10 per hour.

Q.What size of horse/s can you carry?
A. The horsebox is stalled for two horses and we can safely carry one large horse up to 17.2hh or two smaller horses/ponies, please contact us for more details. The horse area is large and well ventilated, specifications are show in the table below.

Q.What if I have a horse who is reluctant / difficult to load?
A. Equi Taxi can recommend True Horsemanship for help with horses who are reluctant or difficult to load. Please contact us for further details.
